I add hemp seeds to my smoothies for a natural protein, fiber, and omega-3 boost. 3 tablespoons has an impressive 2.5 grams of omega-3 fatty acids, 10 grams of protein, and 3 grams of fiber. It also has a good amount of manganese, magnesium, iron, zinc, B6 and more.

Enjoy this creamy hemp-chocolate vegan smoothie.

1 cup = 2.3 dl 1 tablespoon = 15 ml 1 teaspoon = 5 ml

  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 pitted large dates
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons hulled hemp seed
  • 1 large peeled and frozen banana
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 large ice cubes


  1. First add the liquid then add the remaining ingredients.
  2. Blend until smooth.
